We are often asked “What is the difference between the Diamond Glow and the Hydrafacial?” We want you all to know why Koru Medical Spa has chooses the Diamond glow as our advanced skin resurfacing treatment and why we LOVE it! 

The two technologies are similar but have different features. So, let’s break it down:

The Diamond Glow

DiamondGlow is a customized treatment that uses a diamond-tip applicator. The diamond- tipped applicator uses a pneumatic vacuum, which means the patients experience exfoliation to the point of resurfacing. Unlike a Hydrafacial, the medical-grade serums used in the Diamond Glow treatment reach deeper into the surface of your skin for enhanced results. The technology was scientifically researched to accomplish maximum absorption of skin-nourishing serums.

This device is less well known compared to the Hydrafacial because it tends to be chosen by physician-directed practices versus Day Spa’s and is a more customizable system. 

The Hydrafacial

A Hydra Facial uses vacuum pressure to exfoliate your skin and apply serums to your newly exfoliated face. The treatment is limited to your face, and it reaches the surface of your skin, therefore omitting the deeper reaches where damage exists, and nutrients are most needed. While you can achieve some nice results with a Hydrafacial, the application is very limited.

Hydrafacial is extremely popular in day spas and Hotel Spa’s as a one-size fits all treatment, and for its ability to safely deliver excellent facial treatments.
