Financial/Cancellation Policies

Mahalo for choosing Koru Medical Spa! We desire to build a positive professional relationship with each of our Guests. We want to start by providing you with our financial policies to guide you during your visit at our medical spa. We encourage you to ask if you have any questions about our fees, prices, policies, or your responsibilities as our Guest. 

PAYMENTS & RESERVATION FEES

Koru Medical Spa primarily provides elective cosmetic treatments and procedures that are not covered by medical insurance programs. Payment in full for all medical spa procedures is due at the time of the treatment or procedure.  

For specially priced treatment(s) or a series of treatments, payment in full is due before or at the time of the first scheduled treatment. 

Due to demand and time requirements, all cosmetic appointments require a reservation fee to be collected at the time of scheduling. Reservation fees are applied to your completed treatment or procedure at checkout. Your reservation fee will be based on the services that you are booking. Reservation fees are as follows: Fillers $400, Toxins $150, PDO Threads $400, Aerolase $150, all other services are 50% of the total treatment cost. If you have given at least 24 hours or more advance notice to cancel your scheduled appointment, your reservation fee will be fully refunded. If you fail to give at least 24 hours notice to cancel your scheduled appointment, your reservation fee will be forfeited.  

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We provide several payment options which may be used individually or in combination: 

CASH OR CHECK: Personal check drawn on a local Hawai’i bank, cashier's check, or cash 

MAJOR CREDIT CARDS: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discovery 

CARE CREDIT: Ask us about Care Credit! 

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

We understand that situations arise in which you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please understand that your appointment is reserved just for you and such changes affect not only our staff, but other guests waiting for an appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require that at least 24 hours notification be given. Should we receive less than 24 hours notification, or should you fail to keep your appointment, your reservation fee will not be refunded.  If your visit is for a pre-paid specially priced treatment(s), part of a pre-paid series of treatments, or monthly membership service, if you no show or cancel with less than 24 hours notification your service will be considered redeemed.   

Because your time and our Provider’s time is valuable, we do our best to stay on schedule.  Therefore, any patient arriving 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule and may be subject to forfeiting their reservation fee. 

REFUNDS FOR SERVICES AND PRODUCTS

At Koru Medical Spa we offer goods and services that are irrevocable. Therefore, we do not issue refunds for any product or service that has been injected or used in your treatment. In consenting to be treated, it is important that you understand and accept this condition. 

If a specially priced treatment(s) or series of treatments has begun, these services will be considered to have been rendered even though the full series may not have been completed. Specially priced treatment(s) or series of treatments are expected to be completed within one year of purchase, otherwise treatments will revert to individual pricing and if applicable a Koru Medical Spa credit will be issued.  

Professional Retail Products may only be returned if there is an adverse reaction to the product or manufacturing defect. Returns must be made within fourteen days of purchase with the original sales receipt. Returns may be exchanged or refunded via in-store credit only.  

REVISIONAL TREATMENT OR TREATMENT OF COMPLICATIONS

The practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science, and medical spa treatments are the practice of medicine. Although good results are anticipated, there can be no guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, by anyone as to the actual results you may obtain. Occasionally additional treatments and/or treatment for problems or complications may be required. These could result in additional charges for which you may be responsible. Your insurance, if you have it, may or may not cover the expenses related to actual complications or other medically related problems arising out of treatment at Koru Medical Spa.
